On August, 25th, Xiamen University Alumni Association of Taizhou organized the alumni who were fond of calligraphy and painting to visit the Painting and Calligraphy Academy and appreciate the oil paintings by Guan Puxue from Shandong University of Arts. The theme of the display was The Window Facing North.
The vivid works caught everyone’s eye at the first sight. The works focused on the outdoor world instead the indoor. What’s more, the painter observed indoor articles from the perspective of enjoying the scenery, and found the natural property of the vivid still life. The visitors was deeply impressed by the charming works, feeling relaxed and comfortable as though they themselves were in the paintings exactly. Just as Guan said, oil paintings opened a visual window for the audience.
During the activity, the alumni also chatted with President of XMUAA of Ningxia, Lu Dajing. They expressed great thanks to President Lu’s longlasting support and care, and wished the two association would strengthen communication and cooperation and made mutual progress.
