Alumni Association of France Hosts the First General Meeting in 2016 and New Year’s Gathering Meeting

On February 21st, Xiamen University Alumni Association of France hosted the first general meeting in 2016 and New Year’s gathering meeting in Paris. Ma Yansheng, minister counselor of Education of the Chinese Embassy in France, Zou Runsheng, first secretary of education and other distinguished guests attended the meeting, as well as more than 40 alumni.

 

The meeting began accompanied with joyful laughter and cheerful voices. At first, Jia Zixian, president of the alumni association, briefly summarized the achievement in the past one year, and reported the planning for 2016. He gave many thanks to the council members’ contribution, and stated that the alumni association would strengthen the relation with the alma mater, pay back to it, promote the communication between the society and it and build service platform for the alumni. He also paid special gratitude to Ma Yansheng for his attendance and to Li Xiaotong, the honorary member of XMUAA of France for her summon.

 

After the meeting, the alumni took a photo for memorization. At the banquet, the alumni shared cuisine and cheered with each other, celebrating Lantern Festival’s approaching together.

 

Later, Ma Yansheng delivered a brief speech at the party. To begin with, he extended his sincere greetings to the alumni present on behalf of the Education of the Chinese Embassy. He wished the alumni association could hold more activities and connect more alumni in France together, acting as the envoy between Chinese and France. He also encouraged them to serve the country and the alma mater, paying back to them in some different ways and different skills.

 

After the meeting, the alumni took a photo for memorization. At the banquet, the alumni shared cuisine and cheered with each other, celebrating Lantern Festival’s approaching together.
