On January 31st, Xiamen University Alumni Association of Inner Mongolia successfully hosted the annual meeting for the 2016 Chinese New Year themed “Welcome and Share” in World People's Palace Hotel. It was held to welcome the New Year and new arrivals, and to share the experience and emotions. More than 40 alumni in Mongolia attended the meeting.
Zhang Xiaojia, the alumna from Art College performed the harp and played the opening song with her junior sister apprentice, which deeply impressed the audience. The host, Yu Wenjun, was the alumni from College of Foreign Languages and Cultures as well as president of the XMUAA of Inner Mongolia. On behalf of the alumni association, he warmly welcomed the new members of the new members of the class of 2015, and gave them commemorative school badge as presents.
During the annual meeting, the video about Luo Wei and Yu Shujun’s hiking experience in Routeburn, New Zealand was played, and the two heroes shared their breathtaking feelings when meeting the extreme weather with the audience. Their courage and perseverance set an example to young people.
After that, the alumni played games and put on performances by college basis. Those from Art College sang two meaningful songs together, recalling old good school days. To celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Alma mater, the alumni present recorded a video, on which they expressed their good wishes to the school.
Full of happiness and warmth, the curtain descended on the annual meeting.
