On the 19th of December, president Zhu Chongshi visits“Home to Alumni”in this rainy day, accompanied by Dai Minghan, member of the standing committee of the school party committee, and Zhang Junkui, deputy director of the school general office. Zhu visited “Home to Alumni”coffee house to be open and also talked with Pan Shimo and Huang Liangkuai, vice chairmen of the alumni association and Zeng Guobin, secretary general of the alumni association.
President Zhu highly acknowledged the new idea of coffee house carried out by the alumni association. In the coffee house, he often stopped to make a close look and nod smilingly at the decorative style, alumni elements and cultural taste. He hoped that through the platform of coffee house, the university can serve and contact alumni better and make every alumni feel at home when they return alma mater.
President Zhu had a cordial talk with the responsible persons of the general alumni association and listened to the report and development plan on alumni work. He fully acknowledged the great-leap-forward development of alumni work in recent years and expressed that the university will attach great importance to alumni work as usual. Zhu expected the alumni association to focus the force of alumni on the development of XMU and make efforts for the realization of two centenary goals.
The development of school needs the support from alumni and the development of alumni work needs the attention and support from school leaders. On the 18th of December, Lai Hongkai, deputy secretary of the school party committee, secretary of the discipline inspection commission and chairman of the labor union, Lin Dongwei, deputy secretary of the school party committee and Zhan Xinli, vice president and vice chairman of the alumni association also made a visit to “Home to Alumni”.
