On the morning of May 1, the forum of alumni of Grade 1986 of School of Information Science and Engineering(SISE) was held in Haiyun administrative building, Room C610. Representatives of alumni of Grade 1986, representatives of teachers of Grade 1986, representatives of head teachers, leaders of the School, correspondents of the alumni, counselors, representatives of students all attended the forum. The forum was hosted by Li Chenghua, Vice Secretary of SISE’s Communist Party.
Li Chenghua, on behalf of SISE, extended his warm welcome to the alumni, and introduced the development, status quo, and the future planning. He also hoped that alumni could often go back to alam mater to strengthened the bond, and actively offer advice and suggestion for the development of SISE and their alma mater. Huang Wencai, Deputy Dean of Department of Electronic Engineering, and Zhang Defu, Deputy Dean of Department of Computer Science made an introduction about the faculty, talents cultivation, and research respectively.
Zeng Wenchao, a former student of electronic engineering, on behalf of other alumni, expressed his gratefulness and wishes to the School. At the forum, alumni recalled the best time on campus and were grateful to the cultivation of the alma mater and their school, and the devotion their teachers made. They also offered valuable suggestion when it came to the question of entrepreneurship, and encouraged students to uphold the attitude of courage, to overcome fickleness, and to make good command of professional knowledge. The active interaction between students and alumni brought the forum to a climax.
After the forum, alumni were invited to visit the innovation laboratory of the School.
