On November 21, undergraduates of Class of 2001 of College of Foreign Languages and Cultures(CFLC) reunited after 10 years’ graduation. Chen Zhiwei, Secretary of CFLC’s Communist Party, Zhang Longhai, Dean of CFLC, Xu Heshan, Huang Yuxia, Liao Zhidan, Zeng Zheng, and other faculty of the Committee, Ji Taiping, Lei Huiying, Lin Juanjuan, Liu Xiaoleng, Ding Xiaojun, and other teacher’s representatives attend the event.
Dean Zhang Longhai first extended his warmest welcome to the alumni, and gave an introduction of the progress the college had made in discipline construction, talent cultivation, teaching research, and other aspects recently. Then, Secretary Chen Zhiwei gave a description on the employment of the alumni related to the founding of Xiamen alumni association and recalled the connection with the students who worked in the university after graduation, showing the deep and profound relationship with the students. Students all recalled the golden time they spent in the university, hoping to come back to the classroom, and shared their experiences in these ten years.
In order to thank the alma mater for the cultivation, the alumni gave a portrait of eight breed made by lacquer thread sculpture, a tradition handicraft in Xiamen, as a gift with inscription for gratefulness and good wishes.
