From August 11 to 13, more than 20 alumni of Class of 1982 of counting, along with their families, came back to alma mater to celebrate their 30th anniversary of enrolment. Zhang Mingzhi, Secretary of School of Mathematics’ Communist Party, and several former teachers attended the party, hosted by Professor Luo Linkai of department of automation, a former student of Class of 1982.
Alumni and teachers were all excited about the reunion. Professor Lin Hongqing, 81, a retired teacher, recalled the old time in the university and congratulated alumni on their achievement. He also shared his secrets and knowledge on health and longevity, which included delightful mood, positive attitude, scientific diet, and proper exercise. Zhang Mingzhi, on behalf of School of Mathematics, extended the warmest welcome to the alumni, and introduced the development and achievement the school had made in recent years. On behalf of the alumni, Zhang Xiamen, the monitor of the class, expressed the gratitude to the teachers and alma mater, and wished a brighter future for mathematics.
During the event, they revisit around the campus and enjoy the beautiful scenery by the sea. With much delight, they promised to reunite in 2016.
